Souris’ Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Town of Souris and surrounding community has always been proud of the ceremony our Legion hosts each November 11th. Important portions of the ceremony which we we strive to replicate and improve each year, include:

The placing of wreath on behalf of: the Sovereign; The Memorial (Silver) Cross Mother, the Federal Government; the Province of Prince Edward Island; the Town of Souris; the Canadian Armed Forces; the Royal Canadian Legion; Souris’ Veterans who were killed in action, many other Veterans, and local businesses.

A parade, including: The Royal Canadian Legion Colour Party; Band(s); Veterans, including RCMP Veterans, and all other Legion members and Ladies Auxiliary members; Members of the Canadian Armed Forces; Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Members of the Souris Fire Departments; Members of the Sea, Army and Air Cadets; and community organizations such as the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club.
